Study Programs

Preschool Program

At L’École Internationale des Apprenants, we offer a pre-school program adapted to five-year-olds and in compliance with the requirements of the Quebec Ministry of Education. This program aims to support the child’s overall development, promoting the acquisition of essential skills for future academic success and harmonious integration into primary school. Our approach is based on five key competencies defined by the Ministère de l’Éducation du Québec, which we cultivate with care and attention on a daily basis:
  • Physical and motor development: Through a variety of age-appropriate activities, we encourage children to develop their fine and gross motor skills, enabling them to acquire greater coordination and body awareness.
  • Self-awareness: We guide children in understanding their emotions and developing a solid self-esteem, essential for their personal and social development.
  • Harmonious relationships: Respect, empathy and cooperation are at the heart of our pedagogy. We provide an environment conducive to learning social values and building positive relationships with peers.
  • Oral and written communication: From a very early age, children are encouraged to express themselves in French, develop their language skills and learn to write, in order to lay a solid foundation for their school careers.
  • Discovering the world: We encourage students to explore their environment, awaken their curiosity and develop a rich and varied understanding of the world around them.
As a result, our preschool program offers a caring and stimulating environment where each learner can flourish at his or her own pace and develop the skills needed to succeed in the years to come.

Primary program

The primary program at École Internationale des Apprenants is designed to provide students with a rigorous and enriching education, in accordance with the Régime pédagogique de l’éducation préscolaire, de l’enseignement primaire et de l’enseignement secondaire du Québec. We place particular emphasis on academic rigor, autonomy and critical thinking, while preparing our students to become active, responsible and respectful citizens.

We are committed to the Quebec school system’s threefold mission: to educate, socialize and qualify. This mission guides our entire pedagogical approach, and each subject is taught with rigor and professionalism, ensuring that our students master fundamental knowledge while developing essential social and personal skills.

Our primary program focuses on several key areas:

  • Acquisition of fundamental knowledge: We ensure that every student masters the basics of all subjects taught, in particular French, science, mathematics and history. Students are encouraged to develop a deep and lasting understanding of concepts, while tackling current issues through a variety of projects and experiences.
  • Social and emotional skills: In addition to academic knowledge, our students are encouraged to develop strong social skills, such as empathy, cooperation, respect for differences and the ability to resolve conflicts peacefully. We firmly believe that education is not just about knowledge, but also about interpersonal skills and the ability to interact harmoniously with others.
  • Encouraging creativity and innovation: We believe in the importance of an education that stimulates creativity, critical thinking and innovation. We offer our students opportunities to explore new ideas, ask questions and find solutions, while developing their autonomy in managing their learning.
  • Preparing for the future: Thanks to a differentiated pedagogy, we respond to the individual needs of each student, enabling them to progress at their own pace while preparing them effectively for the challenges of high school and professional life. Every subject is taught with academic rigor, to qualify students in the areas essential to their future success.

International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme

All our preschool and primary school students are enrolled in the International Baccalaureate Organization’s (IB) Primary Years Programme (PYP). This enriching and stimulating program focuses on the child’s overall development, placing him or her at the center of the educational intervention.

By integrating the IB program with the Quebec curriculum, we offer a high-quality education, preparing our students to become critical, creative and responsible thinkers, capable of meeting the challenges of the modern world.

Local program: Arabic language and Muslim ethics and religious culture

In addition to ministry programs, the International School for Learners offers unique enrichment through the teaching of the Arabic language and courses in ethics and Muslim religious culture. These disciplines complement the school’s educational approach and enable students to develop a deeper understanding of their cultural and spiritual heritage, while preparing them to interact with a multicultural society.

  • Arabic language: Learning Arabic as a3rd language is a central element of our local program. We offer structured teaching, aimed at strengthening students’ language skills in all areas: oral and written expression, comprehension and reading. This not only deepens their culture, but also enriches their linguistic repertoire, opening the door to numerous academic and professional opportunities worldwide.
  • Muslim ethics and religious culture: From an inclusive and respectful perspective, our Muslim ethics and religious culture courses are designed to teach students the values of tolerance, respect and responsibility. These courses help them understand the principles of their faith, while encouraging them to develop critical and personal reflection on contemporary ethical issues.

This local program enriches the educational experience of our students, providing them with a global and intercultural learning environment, enabling them to better understand their identity while opening up to others. It is a cornerstone of our vision of an education that is inclusive and respectful of diverse cultures and beliefs.

We believe that this program, which combines the requirements of the Quebec curriculum, the values of the International Baccalaureate (IB) and the values of Muslim education, provides our students with a solid foundation for success throughout their school career and beyond.
