Local program: Arabic language and Muslim ethics and religious culture

In addition to ministry programs, the International School for Learners offers unique enrichment through the teaching of the Arabic language and courses in ethics and Muslim religious culture. These disciplines complement the school’s educational approach and enable students to develop a deeper understanding of their cultural and spiritual heritage, while preparing them to interact with a multicultural society.

  • Arabic language: Learning Arabic as a3rd language is a central element of our local program. We offer structured teaching, aimed at strengthening students’ language skills in all areas: oral and written expression, comprehension and reading. This not only deepens their culture, but also enriches their linguistic repertoire, opening the door to numerous academic and professional opportunities worldwide.
  • Muslim ethics and religious culture: From an inclusive and respectful perspective, our Muslim ethics and religious culture courses are designed to teach students the values of tolerance, respect and responsibility. These courses help them understand the principles of their faith, while encouraging them to develop critical and personal reflection on contemporary ethical issues.

This local program enriches the educational experience of our students, providing them with a global and intercultural learning framework, enabling them to better understand their identity while opening up to others. It is a cornerstone of our vision of an education that is inclusive and respectful of diverse cultures and beliefs.

We believe that this program, which combines the requirements of the Quebec curriculum, the values of the International Baccalaureate (IB) and the values of Muslim education, provides our students with a solid foundation for success throughout their school career and beyond.
